“density”の表記について
以下のようなポート構成のスイッチについて説明します。
SFP+ 48ポート
QSFP+ 2ポート
QSFP28 4ポート
ここで、QSFP+とQSFP28ポートについて、それぞれのポートを4個の10G SFP+ポートにブレークアウトするケーブルを適用した場合、もともとある10G SFP+ 48ポートに加えて ( 2 + 4 ) x 4 = 24 ポートの 10G SFP+ポートが増えますので、合計 72ポートの 10G SFP+ポートが利用可能となります。このように、ブレークアウトケーブルなどを利用して、大きな帯域をスプリットして小さな帯域のために利用する方法を含めたポートの数をdensityと表記しています。
